Hertz After Ordering 100,000 Tesla, Its getting Polestar and Volvo Instead in Sweden

Hertz placed an order for 100,000 Tesla Model 3 on Monday. That eventually end up making Tesla's market value surpasss $1 trillion — on a $4.2 billion deal! The news came from Hertz's international division. Meanwhile in Sweden, the focus is on other car models instead of Tesla, the Swedish department announces.

Hertz is based on a franchise model which is owned by Volvo Cars in Sweden. This means the majority of the car fleet consists of Volvo and Polestar cars —And it will continue like this.

All Hertz operations are free to choose and adapt their own vehicle fleet to the demand of the domestic market. Sweden is also seeing an increasing demand for electric cars, mainly from Polestar.

Michel Basberber, Sales Manager Hertz in Sweden said, they have also worked for many years with an electrification of their car fleet and it is gratifying to see how car manufacturers in recent years have invested more and more in developing both pure electric cars but also hybrids of various kinds. It gives their customers the opportunity to test and find the cars that work best for them.

But in Sweden, they will not currently offer Tesla as part of their car fleet, Michel Basberber concludes.
