Iran (1.3 million metric tons), Algeria (1.1 million metric tons), Iraq (6,39,000 metric tons), Pakistan (4,83,000 metric tons), Sudan (438,000 metric tons), Oman (3,72,000 metric tons), United Arab Emirates (3,23,000 metric tons) and Tunisia (2,78,000 metric tons) are in the top eight of the top ten countries producing dates.
